Prism Viewer Pro – Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

Prism Viewer Pro ("the app", shown as "Prism" on your phone) is published by Unix CCTV Corp. (UX Networks) on the App Store and Google Play. It lets you view live video, recordings and events from your own Magic and Prism recorders (DVR / NVR). This policy explains what information the app handles and why.

Information the app stores on your phone

Events, faces and license plates

The Events tab and the timeline show motion, people, vehicle, intrusion and license-plate events that your recorder detects and records. The app reads those events, and the snapshot pictures the recorder saved for them, directly from your recorder when you open the app. The app itself does not analyse video, and none of these pictures or events are sent to us or stored on our servers.

Optional account and cloud sync

You can create an account with an email address and password. This is optional; the app works fully without it. When you sign in:

Data in your account is only readable by you (access is tied to your sign-in). It is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Google's servers in the United States. We do not sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising.

Video and recorder connections

Live video and recordings are streamed directly between your phone and your recorder, either over your own network or through the connection service your recorder uses to be reachable from the internet (the Magic IP service for Magic recorders, or the serial-number P2P service for Prism recorders). These services relay the encrypted connection; we do not receive, store or view your video.

Push notifications

If you turn on notifications for a recorder, alarm notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging. A device token is stored with your account so that notifications can be sent to your phones; it is removed when you sign out or delete your account.

Permissions

Children

The app is intended for adults managing their own video surveillance equipment and is not directed at children under 18.

Deleting your data

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted at this address with an updated date.
